To become a registered member, education at an approved institution is required, along with rigorous testing and a veterinary externship. Currently, the only approved educational institute is The D'AL School of Equine Massage Therapy at the D'Arcy Lane Institute (in London, Ontario, Canada). They offer a 2 year, 2200 hour program that offers extensive training in equine anatomy, physiology, management, massage theory and technique, kinesiology, hydrotherapy, and pathology, and treatments. For more information, please see www.darcylane.com

If you are an institution that would be interested in becoming a feeder school, please contact the IFREMT for details.
